A graduate from Augsburg College and a CPA with over 25 years of experience in the retail accounting and tax industry. Mark has also substantially completed the Masters of Business Taxation coursework at the University of Minnesota.
A retail accountant by trade, Mark’s interests have evolved into the real estate and service industries, but Mark’s talents and passions are best displayed when consulting clients with business successions, mergers, and acquisitions. Mark’s knowledge and understanding of business at a high level enables him to consult clients with a unique perspective, one based in tax but with an eye towards overall business analysis. He heads up RFS’ CFO services.
Outside of the office, Mark lends his unique perspective to the business of being a father to his three children, and with his wife Sharon he enjoys golfing and spending time on the lakes of northern Minnesota.
A graduate of St. John’s University (MN) with accounting and economics degrees. Lance has been a CPA since 2006, and graduated from the Masters of Business Taxation program at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School in 2009.
Beginning as retail accountant and then branching into tax services, Lance has over 10 years of accounting and tax advisory experience. Lance has also been a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor since 2007, and he regularly handles QB issues, from infrastructure design to setup and installation to troubleshooting daily tasks.
When not in the office, Lance spends time reading and working to keep up with his busy wife Bree and their three young daughters.
With an undergrad degree in accounting from Mankato State University and a Masters of Business Taxation from the University of Minnesota, Kim has devoted her over 25 year career to the tax goals of her clients, and it shows in her meticulous planning and attention to detail.
RFS’ Tax Department Manager, Kim covers a lot of ground both in individual and business planning and delights in working through the complex issues of RFS’ host of clients.
When she’s not researching, Kim and her husband John are the diligent parents of three girls, ensuring Kim an engaged routine away from work.
A graduate of Mankato State University with finance and accounting degrees, Julie has over 25 years of experience in retail accounting, including tax preparation, business valuations, and a prodigious amount of general ledger accounting. She has recently completed her Masters of Business Administration.
Julie is RFS’ in-house Accounting Manager and excels at managing groups both large and small with the kind of personal and hands-on accounting and consulting needed in today’s retail environment. Julie’s attention to detail and large experience base sets her apart, and these traits lend themselves well to identifying and implementing efficient accounting procedures for her clients.
Always busy at work, Julie is busy at home as well, as she and her husband Rob try to keep up with 5 kids working their way through college and first jobs.
